  • Fleurieu Food Festival - Oma vs Baba

    When? August 9th, 12pm

    Join us for a celebration of our culinary matriarchy!

    Your hosts Taryn (Hector’s Head Chef and Owner) and Anastazija (Hector’s Owner) will take you through a three-course interactive long lunch inspired by the generational recipes from their Oma (Germany) and Baba (Balkan). 

    Each course will consist of two dishes from each cuisine along with the family story from your hosts that brings that food to life. You choose your favourite!

    Our wine partnership for the night is the family driven Shirvington Wines, where Mark will share the rich stories of the wine matched to that course.

Angus Beef Burger, Blue Cheese, Housemade Onion Jam, Rocket, served with crispy fries and onion rings. So tender, a bread knife will cut it in half.
Mahi Mahi, with a Laotian curry sauce. Missing @the_garden_of_nang ? We are too! 😢 This is why, before they closed, we were fortunate enough to snag some of their sauces, spices and curries. Thank you to Nang we will miss you. 🙏💕

Creeping slowly into winter, while still trying to hold on the last slivers of summer comes our entree special Prosciutto wrapped, plump scallops, haloumi, sweet blistered cherry tomatoes.
If you’re eating in Goolwa, pipis are a must! Chorizo, @goolwapipico Pipis, tomatoes in a rich white wine broth. Best ordered with crusty bread and a bottle of @shirvingtonwines Rosè
